About Biblica Kenya
Mission – Transforming lives through God’s Word
Vision Vision – The work of Biblica will be complete when every person in the world is given the opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ through God’s Word and be transformed.
Biblica Kenya was first registered in Kenya on 9th September 1976 as Living Bibles. By 1983/84 the organization had begun its maiden work of Christian literature distribution.
· In 1992 Living Bibles merged with the International Bible Society and became International Bible Society (EA)
· In 2007 International Bible Society merged with Send The Light and our name changed to IBS-STL.
· International Bible Society (EA) changed its name to Biblica Kenya in July, 2009.
Currently, Biblica Kenya distributes a wide variety of Christian literature and Bibles from 2 bookshops in Nairobi – on the ground floor of Reinsurance Plaza and at our head office in Caledonia – and a depot located at the Kisumu Pentecostal Church, Kisumu. An expanding network of over 600 outlets regularly provides our products to the public in both urban and rural areas. The distribution arm has grown to become the main source of income for the ministry’s operations.
Celebrating more than 200 years in ministry, Biblica provides God’s Word to people through Bible translation, Bible publishing, and Bible engagement. Biblica’s ministry extends worldwide, with outreach in Africa, East Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North America, and South Asia. Biblica has translated the Bible in more than 100 languages and is the translation sponsor andpublisher of the New International Version® (NIV®) Bible, the world’s leading contemporary English translation. Easier to understand, engaging you with the rich meaning of the original text. Most read. Most trusted. Through its worldwide reach, Biblica engages people with God’s Word so that their lives are transformed through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
