The Kenya Publishers Association (KPA) is delighted to invite you to the Meru Regional Book Fair 2026 set to take place in the heart of Meru County, a vibrant educational county and cultural hub in Central Kenya.

With a population of over 1.6 million, Meru County is home to Meru University, Meru Institute of Technology, MERU TTC and satellite campuses of Kenyatta University, University of Nairobi, KEMU and JKUAT, among others. The region also boasts over 390 primary schools, 360 secondary schools, 76 tertiary institutions, and more than 2,000 Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers, offering exhibitors unmatched access to a broad and enthusiastic audience of students, educators, parents, and book lovers.

Event Highlights
Thursday, 29th May 2026 – Official Opening Ceremony
The opening will be graced by H.E. Governor of MERU County, as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries expected include Prof. Charles Ong’ondo (Director, KICD), the County Director of Education, and the TSC County Director – MERU.
